Simplus was brought on to design, produce and 3D print a range of translucent household items for the Target Home of the Future concept in downtown San Francisco by Local Projects. The project was developed as a retail laboratory which put internet connected products in a four-room transparent acrylic house, complete with a living room, bedroom, and nursery, filled with smart devices working together. Using infrared motion detectors, each product greets visitors as they pass, and shares product features. In addition, each room contains vignettes that show how products can work together in a variety of scenarios.
